Gran and Papa Joe are here!

Gran and Papa Joe seem no worse for wear after the long flights and the time zone changes.  They are set up in a two story bungalow overlooking a swimming pool in the B&B across the alleyway from us.

Le petit dejeuner en plein air

It's good to have family here.  We don't feel as far away as we did before, and can enjoy the simple pleasure of sitting down to a meal together.

They have hit the ground running.  This morning Gran joined an informal group of painters for a live model painting session.  For lunch, they were game for the half mile walk in the hot sun through the rice paddies to Sari Organic.

We're enjoying showing them around our new town.  We're also looking forward to sightseeing together and just hanging out and catching up.

  1. Lynn and Nat, I am thrilled to be able to access the blog again and I have a lot of catch up reading to do on your adventures! I think reading your latest news will quickly become a family ritual once a week when we check in and read about the latest. I am going to see about the girls filming a video message to send to Alexa and Charlotte.

Please know we miss all of you very much! I can't imagine what this experience is doing for all of you in every way possible - Bali is food for the soul and a healthy dose of perspective for anyone who visits, let alone who lives there for any amount of time. You are rock stars for taking this exciting leap!
